Privacy Policy
This is a personal portfolio for Oskar Spence, based in London, UK. It collects as little information as possible. This page explains what is collected, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
Oskar Spence is the person responsible for this website and any personal information it handles (the “data controller”, in legal terms). You can reach me at oskarspence@outlook.com.
What I collect
I only get your personal information if you choose to give it to me:
- When you email me — through the contact link or directly — I receive your email address, your name (if you include it), and whatever you write in the message.
- When you book a call — the scheduling tool embedded on the contact page (Cal) collects your name, email, and chosen time so the meeting can be set up.
- Basic technical logs — like any website, the hosting provider automatically records limited technical data such as your IP address and browser type. This keeps the site running and secure. It is not used to identify or track you.
This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or marketing pixels. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first.
Why I collect it
Only to:
- reply to your message or enquiry;
- arrange and hold a call you've booked;
- keep the website online, secure, and working.
I never sell your information, and I don't use it to send you marketing you didn't ask for.
Who else is involved
A few trusted services help run this site. They only handle your information to provide their part of the service:
- Vercel — hosts the website and keeps the technical logs mentioned above.
- Cal— powers the “book a call” scheduling on the contact page.
- Microsoft (Outlook) — my email provider, which receives any message you send me.
How long I keep it
I keep emails and booking details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case we pick the conversation back up. You can ask me to delete them at any time.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR and GDPR) you can ask me to:
- see what personal information I hold about you;
- correct it if it's wrong;
- delete it;
- stop using it.
Just email oskarspence@outlook.com and I'll handle it. If you think I've mishandled your data, you can also complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If I update how this site handles information, I'll change this page and update the date at the top.
